OUR CURRENT CHARITY PARTNER
THE ASB STORY
Founders Emily and Tianna started ASB as a result of their own battles with mental illness and cancer. Having turned to art through the years as a way to channel emotional and physical paint, they know first-hand what creativity can do to heal.
They launched A Space Between from a place of lived experience, setting out to build programmes that would inspire a simple creative pause within hospital settings and into the community.
WHAT THEY DO
ASB work with hospitals and into the community to support the wellbeing of patients, healthcare professionals and isolated groups through open-access, free, therapeutic art programmes. These include: delivering creative care boxes, holding community workshops with open art tables and a digital platform of free downloadables. ASB aims to create spaces that inspire spontaneous moments of creative calm in hospitals and the community at large. They break down generational barriers, patient-carer boundaries and social confines through the connective powers of art. They deliver free-flow art programmes that are entirely co-created, with material drawn and designed for their organisation by artists of all ages, worldwide.
We are so excited to be supporting ASB again with 10% of all sales from our shop going directly to them, and 35% from our upcoming exhibition.
